The 10 Books I Read on Vacation (and 9 You Should Read!)
Hi, it's me, Keltie. Resident mom of the LadyGang and total book nerd. Last week I blogged all about all my fabulous vacation fashions, but I know you are all wondering what I did on vacation besides take 25 instagrams a day? Well, I read. A ton. Click the titles below to buy online or download to your kindle.
We actually grew up close each other, and tried via Instagram messages to figure out if we ever knew each other! I am very annoyed that there is a Keltie who is MORE FAMOUS from Edmonton, Canada. I would really hate her if she wasn't so dang likable. The book is hilarious and it's an easy read.
I don't often read murder mysteries but when I do, I prefer to read book written by people who actually know what they are talking about. My husband thought they "talked to much about what they were eating" when he read this, I actually really enjoyed it. Page turner.
3- THE TOTALLY UNSCIENTIFIC STUDY OF THE SEARCH FOR HUMAN HAPPINESS - PAULA POUNDSTONE
I love podcasts. (REMINDER PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR PODCAST HERE!) I love NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't tell me!" so I was thrilled when I got an advanced press copy of Paula's book. It's cute, catchy, and I found it interesting the only thing that truly made her happy had nothing to do with designer shoes. You'll have to read it to find out what!
I normally love music biographies, there were some very interesting stories about the launch of J.LO and Ricky Martin in this but overall kind of a snooze.
Just when I thought I couldn't love Clinton Kelly on rerun's of "What Not To Wear" more, he writes this piece of sunday morning lazy reading perfection. It's hilarious and a super easy and fun read.
Damnnnnnnnnnn......this book is CRAZY. I am now going to be labeled a supressive person for even reading it, but this book is shocking and horrifying and just whoa. Read it.
I know it's trendy, but damn....it's SOOOOOO good. Probably the best book I read on my entire vacation. It was so good, I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it all in one day.
A must read, and also, can we have a movie version? Nora's story is so heartbreaking her father and husband died within a month of eachother and this is a memoir about how she picked up their pieces, and the memories of her incredible love story. I loved it. Read this.
Gosh, I miss Carrie Fisher. I never read this back when it came out in 2009. I love the way she writes. Long, run on sentences, and no filter at all. This book was great. I wish she was around to write more.
Growing up is weird. Growing up and realizing you are exactly like the "old people" you never thought you would be? Hilarious. I've never read any of his other books, but this one was super funny.
