What To Pack For An Instagram Worthy Vacation
If there are two things I know in life, they are instagram and traveling. I'm so freakin' anal about my insta feed, so tying to ask a stranger to snap an epic photo while on vacation always ends up in a disaster. The angle is wrong, or they chop off my head, or their thumb is over the lens...there's always something that totally ruins my idea of a perfect photo. After years of experience, I've compiled a list of must-have gadgets to bring your vacation feed to the next level without having to lug around your own personal instagram husband (even though I still do that anyway).
HOLY SHIT GUYS. This wide angle lens is a total game changer for selfies cause it captures the entire background (so it's almost like you're not even taking a selfie), and it's great for front camera shots as well. I've had so many people ask me about this on instagram, and I back this lens 100%. You never realize how much you're missing out on in life until you throw on a wide angle lens.
I have to stay connected for work even on vacation, and I finally stumbled across a mifi that doesn't have a crazy plan or secret charges. Tep Wireless is a pocket wifi you can rent and it's only $10 per day for unlimited wifi anywhere in the world. They just ship it to you, you use it, and you ship it back. Boom. Their service is super reliable...I've literally had service underwater and in caves.
My Mophie is hands down the best $100 I've ever spent in my life. I've had mine for over 3 years and it still gives me three full charges on my iPhone every time I use it. This is absolutely clutch when you're out and about all day sight-seeing and don't have time to sit down and recharge. I prefer the external power station, but a ton of my friends use the case cause you don't have to carry anything extra around.
If you follow me on Snapchat, you've seen some of the behind the scenes ridiculousness it takes to get the perfect vacation photo. I've attached this tripod to rocks, trees, ladders, grape vine leaves...you name it, I've done it. Any time someone asks "who the hell took that photo?!", it's always my handy dandy tripod.
I got a LifeProof case for my latest trip to Mexico and we've taken it everywhere. In the pool, in the ocean, in underground caves, snorkeling, etc etc etc. You can take your phone up to 6 feet underwater, and it's also shatter proof for all you butter fingers out there. It's the next best thing to having a GoPro!
Now go check out why traveling is good for your career, and plan your next trip ASAP.
